My current operating Station
Left to Right, AL-1500, then inside the shelf system; AL-811H, Palstar dummy load, FT-8800R, Powermaster meter, Palstar AT-1500 Autotuner, FT-2000, IC-756ProIII, FT-1000D. AL-82. Then to the right of desk is my Henry converted to 8877. Mics are goldline and 781. Footswitch is Heil.

I don't hang out anywhere in particular, but I do enjoy 80m at night and 40 during the day
This is my rare Sigma XR-3000D. Tuned input, pair of 3-500Z's in (almost)GG. Produced in Japan in the early 1970's with very limited numbers. 60lb transformer, with a total weight of 92lbs. It is a monster, but without any bad habits. Easy to tune, never arcs, spits or complains. I love those big 4 inch meters.

This is a highly modified Henry 2k-4 Console. Guts were completely re-worked into a modern softstart, grid protected, variable speed fan, 8877 tube with pressurized soundproofed blower, Vacuum relays 3 minute warm-up timer, etc. Needless to say, it loafs along at legal limit. Complete new power supply with 1 very stout transformer.
After 3 minutes, panel lights on tuning and load dial come on.

Hard to see, but top wattmeter shows watts out of radio (32) and digital wattmeter shows the output. 32 in 1522 out into a dummy load. TOLD you the P.S. was stout! I just show off into a dummy load, when using on CW or SSB I just tickle it at about 1000w.

Tuned Input

8877 Tube along with a great view of the new Vacuum relays.

Here is a view inside the front spring loaded cover. Main breaker along with a Rheostat which adjust the realtime fan speed. It is very quiet thanks to some extra effort in shielding and soundproofing.

This is my Alpha 78 modified by N4UQ (Dick Byrd) to a pair of 3cx800a7's. It also loafs along at 1500 out with 65 watts in during bandpass operations.

I don't believe in the Icom/Yeasu battle of which is better, so to keep the peace: buy both!
756PROIII, FT-950.
IC-7000. Probably, the best I have ever owned. I am going to have them bury me with this radio.

My latest edition, a Malcomized FT-102 and FC-102 Tuner

Years ago, I had a nice B line Drake collection. I think I am going to start another one, only in the C-Line. I miss my boat anchors. I still have a Drake l4 amplifier somewhere in my attic. Now the problem is finding all the right equipment and interconnect cables etc. More pictures to come.
