Most of my truly lasting friendships were a direct result of Amateur Radio. My Elmer's have been many, and I continue to seek their help, opinions and company. You know I think we solved every problem in the world during those informal nets!
I have been blessed in life with a wonderful wife and a great collection of friends, radios and amplifiers, I even get to fish every now and then.
